Rana Zogby, DMD
Dr. Rana Zogby is one of the few female dentist in North York Toronto. Graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Dental Medicine in 2002 and from the University of Guelph Faculty of Biological Sciences (Honours) in 1998.
In the summer of 2001, Dr. Zogby enrolled in an externship program at The University of Illinois Oral Surgery & Maxillofacial Department, in Chicago Illinois.
In 2002 Dr. Zogby received The American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Graduate Student Award.
Upon her graduation, Dr. Zogby moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to join a post-doctoral program; oral medicine general practice residency program, at Carolina Medical Center. She gained advanced training in the treatment of patients with complex needs.
After completing the residency program and up until joining Fairview Mall Dental Centre in early 2006, Dr. Zogby practiced dentistry at several private dental practices in North Carolina as well as Orangeville, Kitchener, Guelph, and Hamilton.
In addition to running her private practice at Fairview Mall, Dr. Zogby enrolled in a one-year intensive residency (2011-2012) at the ti-maxi implant course in North York/Waterloo where she received intensive training in implantology and since then she has placed hundreds of implants on her own patients from start to finish with great competency.
In 2014, Dr. Rana Zogby received her credential as an “Associate Fellow” in Dental implant from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
Dr. Zogby prides herself in being the owner of Fairview Mall Dental Centre where she provides treatment in areas of cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, laser dentistry, sedation dentistry, endodontics, implantology, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and much more.
Dr. Zogby constantly attends conferences, conventions, webinars, and continuing education courses all over the world to keep up to date with technology and enhance her skills to the highest level possible. She takes her staff with her to several training sessions per year to make sure they are also providing an excellent level of care to her patients.
Every year, Dr. Zogby is enrolled in the Brushamania program, where she volunteers her time by going to schools and educating young kids about the Importance of oral health to our well-being. Dr. Zogby also sponsors several events every year for a good cause and to support the community.
When Dr. Zogby is not at the office…
She enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her husband and her two children. Also, in the little spare time that she has, she enjoys downhill skiing, ice skating, watching movies, swimming, rollerblading, dancing, hot power yoga and socializing with friends and family.
Ivit Yakub, DMD
Dr. Ivit Yakub graduated with a doctor in dental surgery from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2017. Prior to that she graduated from York university with an Honours in Biomedical Sciences in 2011 and Dalhousie University with a Bachelor in Kinesiology in 2013.
Upon graduation, Dr. Yakub moved back to her home town and started practicing Dentistry as an associate as well as teaching at the University of Toronto, Faculty of dentistry as a restorative instructor. Dr. Yakub enjoys being part of the forces that promote and improve an individual or community’s oral health and well-being. In order to serve the community in this capacity, Dr. Yakub has attended many conferences, conventions and continuing education courses to provide exceptional dental care. Dr. Yakub enjoys working with all age groups from young children aged one years old and up. She enjoys performing numerous procedures such as basic restorative treatments, cosmetic dentistry, simple and complicated surgical extractions. laser dentistry, Mild oral sedation, endodontics and many more. Dr. Yakub is certified in providing botulin toxin and dermal fillers to patients.
Dr. Yakub has lived in multiple countries and therefore speaks four different languages, which include, English, Romania, Arabic, Chaldean (Neo-aramaic). In her spare time she enjoys travelling and spending quality time with family and friends.
